The BLVD Arts Contest from Joseph Torres on Vimeo.
Put on by 1881 Project and hosted by The BLVD Hotel and Spa; The BLVD Arts Project was a unique collaboration between artists and art communities. We would like to thank all the artists who submitted pieces and be on the lookout for our next 1881 project and contest by liking us on Facebook.
After an amazing two-day event, all 8 murals have been completed and are impressive. Each mural is a different perspective on Los Angeles and fills up a 4 x 8 sq ft canvas. Voting polls are open now so show your support and vote for your favorite piece. The artist with the most votes will receive a grand prize of $1,500. Also, a free iPad 2 will be raffled off to one lucky voter so share this link to all your friends and family on Facebook and Twitter by clicking on the social media buttons on the bottom of the voting form. To vote and enter for the free iPad 2, you must register and/or login to the site on the right sidebar in order to vote. Registration is easy through Facebook or filling out the registration form. Voting will be open to the public till October 16, 2011.
*Winner of the iPad 2 must be over 18 years of age and live in the United States. Employees and family members of the BLVD Hotel, 1881 Project and the artists are ineligible for the prize. Winner will be contacted by email.

UPDATE 10/16/2011: We have found a few hundred invalid email addresses registered on our system. Votes cast by these emails will not be counted on the final tally. We thank all who have participated in the voting. The response has been awesome and we are doing our best to keep the integrity of the voting process. Votes shown here are NOT the final numbers. Winner will be announced on Tuesday once we have verified the counts and removed the invalid votes from our system.
