Marybelle Bustos is an inspiring creator, and mover and shaker of people and ideas. As an entrepreuner and artist, she breaks boundaries and crosses lines, builds bridges and connects dots. Using art, fashion and film as a medium of self-expression, Marybelle’s mission is inspire through creativity. Identifying herself as a Social Entrepreneur, she is committed to gathering people and building communities that support and encourage each other to the fullest.
Marybelle graduated from FIDM Product Development/Merchandise Marketing, Los Angeles in 2001 and has over 10 years of Apparel industry experience. This includes design, marketing, merchandising, retail and wholesale operations. She enjoys developing local designers and witnessing the community around her grow, as creativity is produced. Her fashion background also involves costume design and wardrobe styling for music video, commercials and film. Marybelle loves bringing life to characters and sharing a collective vision with her team of producers.
In addition to living and working for designers and apparel companies in LA and San Francisco, Marybelle has a strong base of connections in New York and Manila, with management experience of the United States wholesale operations for French line, Diabless.
As a member and co-creator of the 1881 Project, Marybelle is able to gather and utilize her diverse resources and spread conscious awareness by sharing her knowledge and experiences.
